Hi guys! Anyone have 1 of those memorial stickers dedicated to Charlie Pollet? I think maybe Deb or Keith send me one years ago, but I seem to have lost it and now want to put it on my recently finished Moke. Thanks in advance!

Hello to everyone! I'm hoping to join this club, but cannot seem to figure out how to do it.Many years ago my first mini was a MK2 ( grade 11 high school), but sadly the rust bug had already chewed most of the sheet metal away. I have had the pleasure of owning a few British cars; a 1980 TR7 in excellent shape ( until the cylinder head gasket went, warping the head beyond repair, and a 1970 MG Midget which was a blast. Now, as a recent retiree, I am looking ( and looking, and looking etc ) but cannot find a good one.In any event , I would like to join the club...could somebody please tell me how to join please? Thanks, et Merci, Darren Hello Darren. Contact Debbie : rileydeb@bell.net

Michel

I have been a Mini club member since the early 80's . Lots of laughs , good times , sad times ( people you know passed on ). There were arguments and disagreements as well which at times have turned into good laughs . The one memory that stands out in my mind as how I met Keith and Deb from their apartment and storage shed on Gouin to their present place . Backyard BBQ s , Keith's RV , (shag wagon) talking about the carpeting in the beast not about bedroom activities. Driving to Mini Meets , Mainly Minis hosting them and then traveling to places in Canada and the United States . Even meeting Deb and Keith in England for 50th IMM . There are not many hobbies I have stuck with. Heck even with Minis I have sold them and keep coming back. Like the bumper sticker says " You never forget your first Mini" So true; from my first to my most recent which my wife said " it's your last "(after she found out what I paid for it) . I am a teacher and just lost a 15 year old student to Cancer ( my favourite student ). The reason being is he was the nicest kid . He always had a smile even when he was knocked down by Cancer . His wish was to be at my wedding last year and my wife and I made it happen .My wish was to get the nicest Mini. One I have always wanted and so from the Netherlands came a beautiful cabriolet. Totally rebuilt I named it "Hamza" in honour of my lost friend . I told my wife " life is too short ,live every day as it were your last" and I will . Along the way and over many years Deb and Keith helped me ( more Deb as she normally picks up the phone first, lol) . They will always give you a straight answer. Sometimes, it is not what you want to hear. In my case; Deb telling me not to buy a certain car from the United States because the tags were changed. A hard pill to swallow; as it was so nice. But I listened to the free advice. Over the years they have heard so many of my questions and stories , there have been great laughs . Way back it was $25.00 to join Mainly Minis Montreal and you got a free t-shirt. We would get a monthly newsletter, mailed by snail mail. Now a membership is $ 30.00 for life. No more newsletter but this website. If that is not the best deal for any Mini owner; I don't know what is . There are many people with Mini knowledge out there ( or people who pretend they know what they are talking about ) but it is very rare that you meet people who know what they are talking about, will give you the shirt off their back and become a friend . Thanks Deb and Keith for the help and being there over the years !!!!!
